General Manager
MLP Steel, LLC is searching for a General Manager to direct and manage plant operations for a steel wire facility. This is a hands-on position with a significant portion of time being spent on the production floor, driving results and effectively managing plant operations and supervisors.
This individual will be directly responsible for production, maintenance, quality and other production-related activities needed to maximize profits by performing the following job responsibilities:
* Lead continuous improvement efforts by monitoring and evaluating processes and procedures to initiate programs to increase efficiency, improve quality, decrease scrap and increase profits;
* Provide leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training and development;
* Ensure compliance with MLP standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety and complete and on-time delivery;
* Determine staffing needs and enforcing company policies;
* Create and maintain the overall production schedule as well as the daily schedule for all production areas;
* Provide feedback to the Sales Department concerning delivery status of all orders;
* Maintain compliance to safety, environmental and ISO 9001:2000 quality system requirements as defined by OSHA, DEP and other government agencies;
* Provide leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvement and improved working relationships.
Applicants must have a familiarity with cold drawing processes in the production of steel wire and must have a maintenance background. A successful candidate will be a self-starter who implements action plans. The individual must be able to effectively interface and communicate with both office and shop personnel while maintaining a positive attitude during multi-tasking. Ideal candidates will be a problem solver who looks beyond the obvious. He/She must be capable of reacting to change by being flexible and open to new ideas.

IMMEDIATE OPENING for a reliable employee to maintain equipment and tooling in a manufacturing environment. Forklift experience is strongly desired. This individual will be expected to:
* Plan daily work assignments by investigating machine failures and studying machine schematics;
* Set-up machining equipment by setting adjustments to match specifications and test tolerances;
* Fabricate parts according to drawings, blueprints and/or manuals; and
* Verify machined parts by using precision measuring instruments.
Candidates must have previous experience working in an industrial environment. Applicants must be able and willing to work 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm, M-F. Must successfully pass pre-employment drug screen.

IMMEDIATE OPENINGS FOR reliable entry level production workers. Candidates MUST have prior manufacturing experience, strong math aptitude, be mechanically inclined and willing to learn. Must have ability to use various hand tools and knowledge of measuring tools, including tape measures, calipers and/or micrometers.
