We are certified as an approved supplier in Pennsylvania (Penn DOT Bulletin 15) and have provided inlets to users in New York, New Jersey, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina and Maryland. PEDESTRIAN/ADA COMPLIANCE (WHEEL SAFE/HEEL SAFE) Laurel Steel carries a line of products designed to satisfy demanding requirements in pedestrian traffic areas. Laurel Steel can supply grating for areaways designated Heel-Safe (1/4” opening between bars) so high heels can’t penetrate the grating, or Wheel-Safe (1/2” opening between bars) to accommodate wheel chair/ADA requirements. Styles are available that satisfy the required close spacings described, while retaining the ability to support highway vehicle load requirements.
